"Everything about You" by One Direction

I decided to analyze the song “Everything about You” by One Direction. It’s probably one of my favorites by them. The meaning is kind of self-explanatory, they like everything about a girl but when you start really listening to it you notice that they would do anything for that girl.

I think they really wanted to show that they would do anything for the girl by using repetition.

I also noticed some more repetition. In one part they kept repeating the words, “you” and “two”

I still feel it every time

Now in the chorus they started to rhyme “you”, “new”, and “do”. All of these have the same kind of rhyme or consonance at the end (the –ew sound)

Them using “you” a lot seems like they really want to stress about “the” girl.
